GUIDED TOUR OF THE ALCÁZAR DE LOS REYES CRISTIANOS WITH ENTRANCE INCLUDED

Alcazar principal
The Alcázar de los Reyes Cristianos occupies one of the most important historic sites in Córdoba. This complex preserves traces from different periods of the city's history, with Roman, Visigothic and Arab remains, before the major Christian transformation following the conquest of 1236.
The current building was commissioned by Alfonso XI in 1328 and became linked to the Castilian monarchy. From 1482, the Catholic Monarchs used the Alcázar as a residence and headquarters during the Granada campaign, a period when Córdoba played a decisive political role.
The guided tour enters the monument with entrance included and covers its main areas, from the defensive character of the complex to the interior spaces where Roman mosaics from the 2nd and 3rd centuries are preserved. In the Hall of Mosaics you'll find pieces discovered in Plaza de la Corredera, with scenes such as Eros and Psyche, Polyphemus and Galatea, Medusa and the Tragic Actor.
