The Málaga Free Tour works on a free booking basis. You may cancel at no cost up to 24 hours before the tour starts, giving you the flexibility to adjust your plans if needed.

If you cancel after this point or do not show up, no refund will be applicable, as no advance payment is taken. The voluntary tip at the end of the tour — typically €10 per person — is based on your satisfaction with the experience and carries no prior obligation.

The tour runs as normal in all weather, including rain or heat. It would only be cancelled in the event of an official weather alert or exceptional circumstances. If you need to change your booking date, we can reschedule without any issue, subject to availability.

If you have made several bookings for a large group and would like everyone to be with the same guide, this can be arranged with an advance payment of €10 per person. Otherwise, the group will be divided among the available guides.

The starting point is Plaza de la Marina, next to the Tourist Information Office. The tour concludes at the exterior of Málaga Cathedral, in the Calle Alcazabilla area, where you will also find the Roman Theatre and the Alcazaba.

How long is the tour and what exactly do you see if you do not enter any monuments?

The tour lasts 2 hours. It is a panoramic, introductory walk through the historic Old Town, without entry to any monuments. The aim is to give you a clear historical context so you can decide afterwards which sites you would like to explore from the inside.

In which languages is the tour available, and what happens if we are a large group?

The Free Tour is available in Spanish and English, in separate groups for each language. If you are a large group, the best option is to book a private tour, as this allows the pace and format to be tailored to your group for a more comfortable experience.

Yes. If you are looking for something a little different, we also offer a night-time free tour of legends and mysteries. It departs at 20:30 from Plaza de la Marina and lasts approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes. Along the way, you will uncover the city's hidden secrets and explore Calle Larios, the Cathedral and other iconic landmarks through the fascinating stories that only a local can tell.
