GRANADA CATHEDRAL WITH ENTRY AND OFFICIAL GUIDE

Cathedral, Royal Chapel and historical center
The Granada Cathedral began construction in 1523 on the site of the former great mosque. Charles V drove the project forward and Diego de Siloé changed the initial Gothic concept to create a Renaissance cathedral with five naves, great interior luminosity and a circular Capilla Mayor 22 metres in diameter.
On this guided tour you explore the interior of the temple with entry included and an official guide. During the tour, the Capilla Mayor, the 16th-century stained-glass windows, the triumphal arch, the side chapels and the paintings by Alonso Cano, one of the key names in 17th-century Granada art, are explained.
The tour lasts approximately 2 hours and is conducted in Spanish or English, with groups separated by language. The meeting point is the Puerta de la Madraza, at Calle Oficios 14, opposite the Capilla Real.
